Trainee Estimator

Due to continued investment, we are looking to add a third full time Trainee Estimator to the existing Production Team.

You will possess a diverse skillset, be computer literate, good numeracy, alert, communicative, and inquisitive. You must be a fast learner, have an eye for detail and pleasant telephone manner and have the energy, drive and enthusiasm to succeed and to deliver an accurate, high quality & consistency of estimating to ensure that clients get a fast and efficient, good quality service.

As the Estimator, you will be working in close harmony with the sales personnel and Customer Service Team. You will be trained in all areas of estimating and there may be an opportunity for further development in to Customer Service/Account Managing. So you must be able to juggle projects efficiently.

Apprentice Print Finisher

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice Print Finisher has arisen at Ancient House Printing Group. The apprentice will learn all aspects of the printing industry and gain invaluable experience within a respected family run business.

You will learn the following techniques:

·         Paper handling

·         Guillotining

·         Folding

·         Creasing

·         Saddle Stitching

·         Perfect Binding

·         Packing and dispatch

·         Cleaning and general maintenance

During this time you will report to our Production Director, but be expected to work and interact with all members of our staff.

Saddle Stitch Operator

The Opportunity for an experienced saddle stitch operator to join the business has arisen. You will be responsible for overseeing the operation of producing Saddle stitched products.

We are looking for an individual who has a mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge and or awareness of quality control and would be able to keep detailed records of any quality issues. You must be reliable, follow written and verbal instructions effectively and able to take initiative whilst operating the machinery.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Examining job orders to determine the quantities, stock specifications and any special instructions.
  • Operating machines effectively and safely according to standards to achieve product specifications.
  • Achieve competency and meet standards in regards to make-ready and run times as established by the company.
  • Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of machines.
  • Checking the quality and conformance to specifications of products.
  • Keeping records of products produced

 

You will report to the Bindery Manager.

Business Development Manager

Due to continuing investment, Ancient House Printing Group is looking to recruit another Business Development Manager.

Experience within the print industry is not essential as full training will be given. You must be able to bring in new business and further develop existing client relationships. You will need a good commercial understanding, excellent prospecting skills and an aptitude to close the sale.

Outstanding negotiation and communication skills are required.

Salary Package commensurate with experience.

Home or office based.
