Perfect Binding Is Hot Off The Press
Ancient House Press is celebrating the arrival of its latest investment - state-of-the-art Perfect Binding Technology.
The new Kolbus Ratiobinder line, representing an investment of £750,000, is now up and running at 8000 copies per hour. It incorporates the very latest features including automatic make-ready and latest gathering unit which enables loose inserts, brochures and CDs to be inserted automatically into the publications being bound.
This new facility on offer in-house means that customers will benefit from greater flexibility and cost-effective binding, for any product from A5 to A4 size and any combination of inserted items.
There will also be greater control over delivery dates as all stages of the production process can be undertaken under one roof.

The Perfect Binding Line will not only provide existing customers with an additional in-house facility, but also open up new markets for us.
Ancient House Press is based on the in Ipswich and employs 105 people. The company has a prestigious customer portfolio ranging from large Government departments to household names. Its ongoing investment programme centres on installing the latest printing technology to stay at the forefront of its field. Last year, a £2m Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 Tandem Perfector was installed, in addition to new Agfa Avalon LF XXT platesetters, Bodoni colour matching software and new Muller Martini PrimaPlus stitching lines.
