New Technology Helps Meet Increased Demand
Investment in the latest printing technology continues at Ancient House Press, with the purchase of two new Heidelberg folders.
Representing an investment of £250,000, the folders include a Stahl TH82 Buckle folder complete with a second fold unit and a knife folding unit and a Stahl Combination KH82 folder. Both incorporate fully automated make-ready options which will speed up the time currently taken to prepare the machines, reducing make-ready times by half.
Touch screens allowing the operators to select a fold pattern with the machine, before moving all its major components into the correct position ready to begin production.
Paul Sadler, AHP Operations Director said: These state-of-the-art folders will deliver significant benefits to our operation, resulting in shorter make-ready times and faster running speeds. This will help to meet the increased demand for folding since the delivery of our new Mitsubishi Diamond press.
Ancient House Press, which is based on the in Ipswich, employs 105 people and has a prestigious customer portfolio ranging from Government departments to large household names. Last year it installed a new £2m Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 Tandem Perfector 12 colour press and achieved both ISO 14001 accreditation and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Chain of Custody certification.
