AHP Congratulates Chris On Course Success

Chris Holt, who works in the Operations Department of Ancient House Press, is celebrating the successful completion of Level 3 of a Professional Certificate in Management which he undertook with the support of the company.

The Open University Online course included a number of work-related modules which Chris has studied over the last 12 months, including: leadership and motivation, tools and techniques, working with others, managing people, monitoring and evaluation, marketing and finance.

He says: “When I started the course I was working on the Komori 38S as a Number 1 team leader on Continental shifts. During the year, I completed five tutor marked assignments, some of which related to AHP and sat a three hour exam. The result is that I have now accrued 60 points which I can build on if I want to go on and study for a degree.

“My current role within the company is Performance Management and I am hoping to encourage and incorporate new ideas and working practices into the department.”

Chris has worked for Ancient House Press based on the for eight years, initially on three different Heidelberg presses, before being offered the Number 1 position on the new Komori 38S when it was installed.

Allison Berry, Joint Managing Director added: “We are delighted that Chris has been successful in his course. As a company we are keen to encourage our staff to build on their skills and hope that other people will come forward with ideas for their own development”.
